Dewa Resort and Phuket.
Our apartment is on the wonderful Dewa Phuket resort complex. This is a beautiful, tranquil, boutique beach resort, ideally located meters from the aquamarine waters of the Andaman Sea on Phuket’s tranquil Nai Yang Beach, and adjacent to Sirinath National Park. This part of Phuket lacks the bustle and noise of resorts further south on the island, and lends itself to a relaxed hassle-free vacation. Although the resort is just a short transfer from the airport, it is not on any of the flight approach/take off paths and so is not affected by aircraft noise, and so maintains an enviable combination of tranquillity and airport proximity.
The resort is spacious, with an Asian themed design and a relaxing atmosphere. The friendliness and generous hospitality of the Thai people is always present throughout your stay. The resort offers several low key dining options, tropical landscaped gardens, 24/7 hour room service to the apartment, spa, gym, shops for basic necessities, library, kid's corner, and two large swimming pools with broad sun-decks. In addition, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access is provided throughout the resort.
Nearby (5 minutes walk), there are various reasonably priced restaurants adjacent to Nai Yang beach, where you can watch the sun go down over a cool drink. Phuket has a wide variety of eating options to cater for all tastes and price ranges, and the resort reception staff can advise on availability and make bookings for you. The reception can also arrange car hire if you want to explore the area on your own or book a taxi to take you to the local shopping malls!
Our Apartment.
Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment is on the third floor of Dewa residence, has a large wrap around balcony and enjoys westerly views towards the amazing sunsets over the Andaman Sea and Nai Yang beach. The Apartment is accessed by lifts serving all floors, is furnished to the highest standards with understated Thai elegance. The apartment is fully air conditioned, with air conditioning units in each of the bedrooms and the lounge area, to ensure your comfort even in the sultriest Thai weather. The master bedroom has a large double bed, fitted wardrobes, TV and en-suite bathroom with bath, large shower cubicle and twin sinks. The second bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes and a separate bathroom with shower and twin sinks. The lounge/dining area has a large sofa and an easy chair, TV (satellite channels included) and dining table and chairs for 4 people. The galley kitchen is well fitted out with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, and a range of cutlery and crockery.
Utility costs are included in the apartment rental charges, but cleaning/maid services are not included. On arrival at Dewa, you will be asked to choose the level of cleaning/maid services that you prefer, and will be able to pay locally for your choice. All cleaning/maid service costs are very reasonable, but each guest has different preferences – this method retains the most flexibility for guests. If guests choose to transfer from the airport to resort by taxi, this can also be arranged via Dewa, costs about £ 6 each way and is paid locally.

Dewa Phuket beach resort is located towards the north western tip of Phuket away from the bustle of the main towns, but still providing easy access Phuket City (30 minutes away) and the west coast road that weaves its way past the island's beautiful beaches and towards the always active night life of Pattong.
Nai Yang beach (50 metres from the resort entrance) is idyllically located in a secluded bay, set amidst the Sirinath National Park, its privacy and tranquillity remains assured. Unique to Phuket, the soft golden beach gives way to the shimmering turquoise waters which are protected by a reef some few hundred meters out to sea, affording bathers the luxury of safe swimming all year round.
For avid golfers, the Blue Canyon Country Club, with its two internationally reputed championship golf courses is less than 10 minutes away. Additionally, numerous boat trips, scuba diving and snorkelling, windsurfing, and sight seeing trips can be arranged via the resort reception area.

Dewa Phuket Resort - http://www.dewaphuket.com -is a newly opened (November 2008) development of 34 hotel villas and 62 apartments, gathered around two beautiful resort pools, with shared on-site facilities including restaurants, shop, gym and spa. The resort is finished to the highest standards and the Thai staff are very friendly and welcoming. Dewa is situated on the north-west coast of Phuket Island, just a few metres from the fabulous Nai Yang beach and adjacent to the Sirinath National Park. This area of Phuket is tranquil and relaxed compared with the more developed parts of the island further south, and there is a notable absence of noise at night – perfect for those seeking a truly chilled pace of holiday life.
Nai Yang beach rarely gets too crowded even at the height of the season, and is a great place to watch the sun going down in the evening. Nai Yang beach is protected by an offshore reef, ensuring that there is safe year round bathing on the beach. Nai Yang is also regularly used by wind surfers and kite surfers, and their skills are best admired whilst sat on the beach and with a beer in hand! Adjacent to the beach and about a 5 minute walk from Dewa Resort, there are a number of local bars and restaurants where you can dine cheaply and informally by the beach. Dewa Phuket beach resort has easy access to the west coast road that weaves its way past the island's beautiful beaches and southwards to Pattong and Phuket City (about 30 minutes away). There are also a number of modern shopping mall developments - fully air conditioned – which are also just short drives away and have a wide array of shopping, restaurants and multi screen English language cinemas. To fully explore the island, renting a car is advised, and the resort will be happy to arrange this for you, with pick up and drop off at the resort. You can make journeys to other parts of the island by taxis also, and these are pretty cheap, but this lacks the flexibility of having your own transportation.
For golfers, the famous Blue Canyon Country Club, with its two internationally renowned championship golf courses is less than 10 minutes away – again the Dewa resort reception will be happy to make bookings for you, but please note that a handicap certificate is required http://www.bluecanyonclub.com Boat trips can also be arranged by the Dewa Resort reception to visit some of the smaller nearby islands.
